Finding Your Fit
We match families with caregivers based on much more than just availability. From food allergies to multiples, newborn care to special needs, our pool of vetted caregivers have varied specialities and we also consider factors like shared interests and household preferences.
All of our select caregivers have extensive childcare experience, some college education, and a commitment to providing quality care.

How It Works
Submit application
We protect our caregivers as well as our families. To get started, complete the online application. Once you've passed our screening, we will contact you with instructions for accessing and downloading our exclusive app.
Complete your profile
After you have downloaded the app, you’ll be able to create a detailed, customized profile that includes information about your family, your children, your needs and your preferences.
Request care
No more texts to multiple babysitters! No more sifting through resumes or scheduling interviews. Simply request childcare for a specific date and time and Silver Lining will recommend your best matched caregiver.
Caregiver Requirements
All Silver Lining caregivers meet the following requirements
- Completed at least 20 credit hours in child development or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Passed background check
- CPR Certified
- First Aid Certified
- Recommended by 3 references
- Completed a one on one interview with a Silver Lining staff member
Placement fees are as follows
$30 for 1 placement (for requests made at least 48 hours in advance)
$50 for last minute placement (for requests made less than 48 hours in advance)
$100 for 5 placement pack
$150 per month for unlimited placements
